Donald settled in Gallitzin, Pa. He was a real estate tax collector for Gallizin borough for 20 years and served on the board for the Gallitzin Sewer Authority. He was a history buff. He was also an advanced student of theology and served as member and president of the local Vincent de Paul organization. Donald was also highly active with duties at St. Demetrius Church in Gallitzin.
