Frank was a railroad lineman. After the childbirth death of his wife, the 1940 Census shows that by 1935 the two living children, Paul and Anna Marie Farabaugh, went to live with their grandparents, Francis and Anna Wyland, near Dysart and St. Augustine, Pa. Frank was living in Latrobe, Pa., with his second wife Mary and young son William. Frank later lived in Derry, Pa.

Viola died of puerperal seticemia, i.e. an infection frequently associated with childbirth. She did in fact deliver a stillborn son a few days prior to her demise.
