Robert was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering, and was a member of the Professional Engineer Society, the Mechanical Constractors Association and the Keystone Contractors Association, where he served as president from 1995-96. Robert was president of G.M. McCrossin of Bellefonte, Pa., where his sons Bob and Joseph were later officers.
