Edward was a coal truck driver. He drove for the Woolridge Coal Co. and later for the Hoffman Coal Co. He then worked for J.R. Baisley Road Construction and finally the Weston Trucking Co., retiring in 1970.

in 1940, Mary and Edward were living in Covington Township, Clearfield Co., Pa., at the home of Edward’s brother, Leo. Mary was well-known for her wedding cakes. He taught cake decoration at Clearfield County Vocational Tech School and for a short while was employed by Curtiss Wright Corp. of Quehanna.
