As a child, Genevieve lived in McKees Rocks and in Hopewell, Pa.

A Genevieve Farabaugh is listed in the 1934 Polk Directory for Pittsburgh, Pa. She died of acute and chronic alcoholism with liver failure.
Notes for Homer John (Spouse 1)
Homer served in in the Army during WWI from November of 1917 to February of 1918. He is listed in the 1924 Polk Directory for Pittsburgh as a tinner for Twin City Auto Radiator Repair Co.,; as a worker (along with brother Kenneth M. Farabaugh) for General Welding Co. in the 1934 Directory; and an employee with the Fort Pitt Welding Co. in the 1938 Directory.

The 1930 and 1940 Censuses indicate that Homer was a welder and that his family was living in Pittsburgh, Pa. A photograph from this era identifies several men working in Homer’s casting shop in Southside, Pittsburgh.
