Robert was a veteran of WWII as a Tech. 5th Grade with the 34th Inf. Div. in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, earning three bronze stars and a Purple Heart. He worked as a machinist for Chicago Rivet, Tyrone, for 36 years. He was active in many church and civic organizations, such as Little League, and served as an assistant Scoutmaster for several years. Robert enjoyed woodworking, model trains and was an avid reader.
