Karen lived in Nicktown, Pa. She was very active in religious instruction at St. Nicholas Church. She was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Robert Maruca in Ebensburg, Pa, and previously acted as First Deputy to the Cambria County Controller. She also was a branch manager for U.S. Bank and was a teacher’s aide for the Northern Cambria School District.
