Notes for Henry Goldberg
Henry immigrated in 1879. In 1896, Henry and a C.A. Orner opened a confectionery store in Belsano, Pa. In 1900 he was a “Portrait and Frame Dealer” and was living with Etta in Blacklick Township, Cambria Co., Pa. The Goldbergs had a home in Belsano, which Henry left after his wife’s death. In March of 1905, while there was a dispute over ownership of “considerable furniture” in the house, it burned down. The fire also destroyed the nearby and newly constructed Belsano hall, and damaged the houses of Charles Glass and Thomas Wilson.
