In January of 1935, Eurana and John Nevin were living in Providence, RI., where John was a salesman for ET Dufant Advertising Co. But later that year the family relocated to Maywood, Ill., and John became Assistant Superintendent for a tobacco company.

John’s death was ruled a suicide after he was found dead in his apartment with his wrists and forearms slashed. He and Eurana had been living in Milford, Conn., for 20 years but had parted to separate residences there by the time of John’s death. John had been employed in the production control department of Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a native of Jersey City, NJ.
