Notes for Walter Henry (Spouse 2)
In 1918, Walter was a chaffeur for Swartt Brothers in Johnstown, Pa. He then served in the 131st Infantry, Co. D, during WWI, in France, from May of 1918 to June of 1919.

In 1930, he was still single, working as a lumber truck driver and living with his parents in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, Pa.

The marriage to Elizabeth was sometime prior to April 17, 1933, when a local newspaper reported that “Mrs. Walter Gressner” was in possession of the Farabaugh Homestead in Munster Township, when a horse fell into an abandoned well there. The Glessners by 1935 were living in Conemaugh, Pa., and their census record cryptically indicates that the parents were quarantined. Paul appears as a 16 year old son, but cannot be found in the 1920 Census. Walter was a meter man for Pennsylvania Electric.

“Glenn Glessner,” who died at the age of 12, is inscribed on the tombstone along with these supposed parents, but his death certificate clearly indicates he was actually named Glenn Price, son of Chester, with Elizabeth Farabaugh as mother.

The Glessners lived in Johnstown, before settling in Ebensburg, Pa.
