Notes for John Sherman Krise
Sherman was a union leader, and died when he was struck by a car. He was struck at 12:45 a.m. on the road between Coupon and Ashville by John H. Wolfgang of Houtzdale. Mr. Wolfgang claimed that Sherman was lying on the road and did not see him until his wheels passed over him. Sherman was dead upon arrival at the Houtzdale hospital at 1:30 a.m.
